As of last week’s report (January 29 – February 1, 2026), Epi week #5, no syndromic alerts have been flagged.
Three DLI cases were reported from Yap, identified as Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease.
Regarding the Pohnpei Pertussis case: The surveillance officer later shared a sitrep indicating that three additional individuals were tested and confirmed positive for pertussis, bringing the total to four cases.
The Chuuk surveillance officer reported no dengue cases for the week, and sitrep #4 will be shared shortly.
All syndromes are currently below the threshold level; there are no alerts or flagged syndromes this week.
The Dengue SitRep #3 update is included: no new cases have been reported from Chuuk, with a total of 12 positive cases out of 51 tested individuals. Surveillance officers are preparing the next SitRep update and will share it once completed.
A Pertussis case has been reported among Health staff in Pohnpei, but the official SitRep is still pending dissemination from the Director. The surveillance officer will send it as soon as she receives approval to share.
