Communicable Diseases Prevention

Vision:

Federated States of Micronesia Communicable Diseases -under the Direction of Dr. Taulung, Secretary for HSA, is fully funded by Federal Grant- PS-18-1801. Funds support the communicable disease programs to improve fragmented health systems infrastructure and service delivery and strengthening the health systems by developing the public healthcare workforce through training and education, and improving public health laboratory capacity while ensuring quality of services.

Goal:

To improve the efficient use of resources through the integration of screening and treatment of multiple diseases such as HIV, VH, STD and TB & Leprosy in persons with similar risks factors in Federated States of Micronesia.

    4. LTBI Case finding and Treatment
  5. Key Population Identification and Screening
  6. Prevention of Diseases
    1. Condom Distribution
    2. Awareness
    3. Prevention Treatment of Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI)

  1. WORLD TB DAY March 24th Annually
  2. WORLD AIDS DAY December 1st  Annually
  3. LEPROSY DAY on January 25th Annually
