Health

The Division of Health is one of the two main divisions of the Department of Health and Social Affairs.  This is where the health portfolio of the Department is housed and managed through various technical and administrative units with specific program activities and mandates. 

You will see the various programs that constitute the Division: communicable diseases, chronic related diseases, child and women’s health, immunization for children, substance use prevention and treatment services, psychological assessment and treatment, food safety and environmental health, hospital and public health preparedness.  All of these programs support the mandate of the Department in keeping the FSM population healthy and safe.
